David was an inventor. A good one, too; he’d created devices that could change the world, but there was just one problem: nobody cared. No matter where or how he exhibited his incredible creations, no-one gave them the slightest iota of attention, which sen David into a bit of a rut. Eventually, he gave up for the most part, getting a day job and halting the progress of his inventing workshop. He did, however, keep looking into why he didn’t have the recognition he deserved, and eventually arrived at the conclusion that it was because he wasn’t attractive enough.
Satisfied by this idea, David set about trying to correct this problem. He tried dieting, but he just couldn’t resist cake. He tried exercising, but he just couldn’t be bothered. He considered buying a new kind of pill that claimed that ‘the fat just walked away’, but when he went to do so, he found that some doctor had found it unsafe for human consumption, and it had been pulled from the market. Disappointed, he started to look for... alternative methods. Magical ones. He tried to keep this a secret as best he could, but his girlfriend, Lara, found out anyway. Rather than tease him as he had expected, she instead claimed that she had once been in a similar predicament, and she had visited a supposedly-magical beach, which happened to be nearby, and had sorted out all her problems.
“Take me there.” said David.
David and Lara soon found themselves in a secluded, and strangely empty, stretch of beach. Lara said she’d wait by the car, and that what David should do is just walk around until something happened.
So he did, his yellow t-shirt and shorts glowing in the hot sun. After about ten minutes, he turned to leave when he heard a voice in his head, a deep, reassuring voice that seemed to come from all around him.
“Where are you going to, little one? I was just getting around to you.”
David stopped, shocked. “Wh… who are you?” he asked the voice.
“No need to talk aloud, just think to me. And I am the Spirit of the Beach. I can grant you one wish.”
“Ah…” David began to say, then decided to heed the Spirit’s words and think it instead. What took you so long? he wondered, not being a fan of lateness.
“There are many people here with wishes to grant. Wishes don’t come true if others know what they are, so privacy is granted by invisibility and soundproofing. Your friend Lara - and I know she’s here because I am an all-seeing spirit, anticipating your next question - can’t see you at all now. She’s only still waiting because she has already been here, and knows all this. Now, did you want me to grant your wish or not?”
Ah, of course. though David. I wish I could be attractive.
“Hmm… I see. Hold on a moment.” David could feel his thoughts being picked through, as if his mind were a filing cabinet, until he heard the Spirit mutter “So that’s what that is…” and close it. “Very well, if it is attractiveness you wish for, then attractiveness you shall receive!”
Instantly, David could feel changes happening to him, but not what he expected. His brown hair suddenly grew and grew, flowing freely down to his hips. It was hard to judge what happened next, as the beach seemed to stretch for miles around, but David swore he was getting shorter! Next, he rubbed his face as he felt his stubble recede and his skin become smooth and soft. Then the face itself changed its shape, becoming small and pretty, with large, yellow eyes and a tiny little nose.
He felt his shoulders tickle and looked to them as he saw his t-shirt’s sleeves climbing up his arms, leaving nothing but vest-like straps around his shoulders, revealing the entirety of his slim arms. “Aa!” he suddenly gasped in a feminine manner, grabbing his hips as they pushed to the sides as his butt puffed out and his thighs thicker, his shorts creeping up his legs to form a yellow bikini bottom with two strings of beads on the side, revealing that something that was once there had been lost.
David looked down at herself, hands still on her freshly-widened hips, examining her curvy new legs. Then, unexpectedly, she gasped again, and ran her hands up her sides, her stomach pinching in, becoming smooth and flat, as she did so, while her t-shirt seemed to be running away from her hands, along with its neckline plunging, leaving nothing but… well, what was quite clearly a bikini top, hanging loosely from her chest. “Aa… aah… aaaaaAA!” she began to moan loudly as her chest started puffing out, into small bumps at first, then getting bigger and bigger, causing David to moan louder and louder as they pushed against her bikini top, filling out into a pair of beautiful, bouncy boobs.
Dana looked herself up and down, examining her figure, her hair, her curves, her breasts, then thought a question to the Spirit. Why am I… a woman?"
“You asked to be attractive. I am an emotionless spirit, therefore I have no concept of what is attractive and what is not, so I had to check in your mind. Apparently, this is the form you would find more attractive than anything else. Is it still not what you wanted?”
Dana though back to when she made her wish. This hadn’t been what she - or, back then, he - had wanted at all, but thinking about it, this was much better. She was beautiful, now, and that, combined with her (not to put too fine a point on it) genius, was sure to make her a huge success. But that could wait. Thank you. she thought to the spirit, then picked up a large straw hat that had appeared on the ground at her feet, put it on her head, and went to find Lara. She was in this bikini, so she might as well find a nice, normal beach to spend a day at with her girlfriend...
